Mossland under thyme

This ginger thyme plant became home to a beautiful carpet of moss. Now on the second year they are growing spores stalks.

I got the thyme plant as a tender tiny sprig cutting from a friend. It rooted well, survived a couple of winters on the balcony, and now the stalk almost looks like a miniature tree trunk with bark and such.

It has the most amazing fresh smell, a hint of ginger mixed with thyme. I like to sprinkle it on rice.
